LEARN HOW WE MANAGE OUR FARM
FARM MANAGEMENT
We uses an aquaponic system to produce organic vegetables. In an aquaponic system, water can be reduced by up to 90% to produce fresh water vegetables and fish in one go. Not only that, with this modern farming method, dependence on land and water resources for farming can be reduced.
FOOD WASTE MANAGEMENT
To deal with the problem of reject vegetables after harvesting activities, we use the larvae of Black Soldier Flies (BSF) to convert these reject vegetables into spelled feed for farm animals. The BSF larvae, which are rich in protein, will eat the rejected vegetables and then they will be processed and used as food for livestock such as chickens, ducks, fish and others. With this, our reject vegetables will not be thrown into the landfill!
SMART FARMING
We uses IoT systems such as CCTV, Smart Control and eGrowr in farm management. Smart Control aims to control switches such as lights, water pumps and fans in the greenhouse. In addition, we also use the eGrowr system to obtain parameter readings such as water temperature, air temperature, fertilizer content in water, water pH, light intensity and air humidity for aquaponic systems. This IoT system can be accessed via smartphone wherever we are.
